Fractions are Evil

I confess...I hate fractions! Jordan is studying fractions in math. I had to spend more than two hours trying to remember what I learned in 7th grade math to help Jordan with his latest assignment. Thank God for the Internet. There was NO way I was going to remember on my own. I hated fractions back then and have found no use for them other than in cooking. I was able to find Jordan's text book online. It had not only the online book, online practice guide but also additional questions and each lesson recorded. Where was the Internet when I was in 7th grade? Let's not go there...

Time Flies

I confess that I have not really gotten the hang of this blog thing. I couldn't remember the last time I put up a post and was surprised to see it had been over a month. I'm not sure where the month of October has gone but I can tell you that it has not slowed down as has been the case most other new fiscal years. September was a blur...working 50-60 hour weeks and then some. Through it all though, I am amazed that I find time to clean house, do laundry, spend time with my kids much less blog. I confess...my new-found diet has crashed and burned. I found the five pounds I lost. Too many "just this time" desserts and birthday celebrations. Grandma Great makes the best chocolate cake and we were fortunate to have it twice in one week! Then there was the pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad and BBQ coleslaw for Caitlin's birthday celebration...yikes. I better figure out soon how to lose or hide from those five pounds or they will be the cause of a tail-spin towards T...
