Detox Day?

I started my detox this morning by making a less than yummy shake of blueberries, unsweetened almond milk, Intest Restore, Pomegranate powder, Stevia and vanilla extract. Jim decided to detox with me so I made him a shake, too. He nearly threw up twice before church. When we got to church, I asked my friend if she started her detox...when she said no, I was relieved! My mother-in-law was making brisket and I wanted some!

I confess...during church I decided since I was going to eat poorly after church tonight, I would wait and start the detox tomorrow. So needless to say, my plans to buy vegetables for lunch quickly dissipated when I suggested to Jim that we go to Olive Garden for lunch! Yikes.

I confess...I ordered the never-ending pasta bowl. The craziness of it all is that I went full knowing I was going to eat more than I should and yet I still ordered. Why is that? I did order water rather than soda but that's hardly an accomplishment. I ordered salad with the dressing on the side but again that's hardly anything to boast about. Thankfully I was too full to order a second bowl of pasta. But then again I just HAD to order the pumpkin cheescake, it is a seasonal item; after all who knows when we'll be going back? I must say it was delicious...I'm not even going to talk about the brisket sandwich I had tonight.

Tomorrow is another day. I confess I'm not ready to start the detox though since I never did get to the grocery store to buy vegetables. How early does the grocery store open? Oh yeah, Kroger is open all night.

My congrats to Jim for only almost throwing up twice after trying to drink that gross creation! I think I'd rather throw up and not even drink it to save my taste buds the grief! Yucky!
