Prayer Warriors

"The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." James 5:16b

"For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer..." 1 Peter 3:12a

I confess...my faith has been tested this past week. My mother endured three surgeries in the span of a week, there was personal turmoil going on in the lives of my dearest friend and her children, and a dear friend is living out her final days on earth.

God has granted me strength, wisdom and peace through it all and I have no doubt that it is because I had prayer warriors praying me through. If not for the prayers of many faithful friends, I would surely have not made it through the week.

Thank you, Father, for these warriors and their prayers!

Compelling Love

For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 A love so compelling brought life to the dead, sight to the blind. It is unimaginable to me that people choose to refuse such love. But it is because of that love that we are convinced that Christ died for all and it compels us to share this love with others. No matter the cost.
