Thirty-seven
In honor of the number 37 (wink, wink), I thought instead of wishing I could skip this day, I would count the top 37 reasons I am blessed. Here goes:
1. I have hope for the future (Jeremiah 29:11).
2. I have the most amazing husband.
3. I have four great kids.
4. Jesus died for me (John 3:16).
5. My wonderful parents live in town.
6. I have good health.
7. My wonderful in-laws also live in town.
8. Jim's grandmother, Grandma Great, is such a sweet woman and SHE lives in town, too.
9. My kids have a great relationship with all their grandparents
10. Grandma Great's chocolate cake.
11. Our family enjoys spending time together.
12. I have a great job.
13. We have a lot of fun at the lake with our two Yamaha WaveRunners.
14. Jordan.
15. Caitlin.
16. Jaden.
17. Calise.
18. Jim and I could spend 24 hours a day with each other and never get tired of one another.
19. I live in a country where I can worship God openly.
20. Sweet Cream Ice Cream with double Reece's Peanut Butter Cups.
21. My mother-in-law and I have a very special relationship. No mother-in-law jokes necessary!
22. I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
23. Dear friends...today I received a three cards, two e-cards, a Diet Dr. Pepper, a voodoo office kit and lots of hugs!
24. Breakfast in bed every Mother's Day.
25. Music to lift my spirit...my current favorite - Steven Curtis Chapman's "This Moment" CD.
26. iTunes and my iPod.
27. Dates with my husband.
28. Pei Wei: Lettuce Wraps, Teriyaki Chicken and Spring Rolls. Yum, yum.
29. Rainy days and old movies.
30. Peace in my home.
31. Did I mention dates with my husband? Oh, yeah. I did. It certainly counts for two! ;o)
32. Curly hair. Very easy to fix in the mornings.
33. Naps.
34. God's not finished with me, yet (Philippians 1:6)
35. Prayer.
36. The unconditional love of a man who wants to share his life with me.
37. The love of a Father who cares about me so much He sent his Son to earth so He could experience earthy pain and strife, so He could die a painful death, so that I might have a relationship with the Father.
